I made a dead deer with articulation so it would move realistically as it was carried around the stage. I began with a urethane foam taxidermy form which I chopped apart and modified. I reattached the pieces with a mix of fabric hinges and nylon leggings, and carved soft upholstery foam to replace the neck and backbone. The body was covered with three separate deer hides. See photographs of the construction process on my blog.
